Elizabeth (MSB'18)

My name is Elizabeth but only professors, my roommates, and I call me that. Everyone calls me Lizzie. I'm a California girl, hence my Insta handle @calizforniadream and the fact a sales woman tired to warn me my winter coat would be too thick for D.C. winters. I am a proud Los Angeles native (but I don't have beef with San Francisco or New York). I grew up at the intersection of hopeful immigrant dreams and the magic of Hollywood. Consequently, I always imagine my life is a movie where I'm the quirky but relatable main character. I am a rising Senior in the class of 2018. I transferred from the College during my Sophomore year and am now in the McDonough School of Business majoring in marketing and minoring in English. I love all things entertainment especially going to the movie theater and watching stand up comedy specials. On campus you can catch me as president of Children's Theater or hanging with GUerilla Improv. I enjoy participating in events hosted by La Casa Latina and can also be spotted cheering on friends in the Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Georgetown. My top three favorite events on campus each year are Hoya Madness hosted by Georgetown Athletics, Mr. Georgetown hosted by the Georgetown Program Board, and the annual Christmas Posada hosted by BFMG. Aside from participating in campus events, I love bargain hunting on M street. I'm always looking for a great sale or new place to try lemonade.
